HAMDT 742 (98th)
A substitute amendment to the Bennett amendment that sets Air Force missile procurement funds at 5,942,700,000 dollars as in the Bennett amendment, prohibits the use of funds for MX procurement as in the Bennett amendment, and adds to the Bennett amendment the following. It is the intent of Congress that the denial of funds for procurement under the MX missile system program for Fiscal year 1984 constitutes a moratorium on procurement of missiles under such program but does not constitute a unilateral termination of that program.
