To amend the Omnibus Crime and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to provide additional Federal assistance to states for the purposes of enhancing law enforcement and criminal justice systems in regions that suffer from high rates of violent crime and developing and implementing multijurisdictional strategies to respond to and prevent violent crime.
