Summary

Permits pattern coinage of the Bureau of the Mint to be sold at public sales to private individuals by the Secretary of the Treasury, except that: (1) specimens of pattern coinage shall be transmitted to the National Numismatic Collection of the Smithsonian Institution; and (2) other such specimens may be lent by the Director of the Mint for exhibition purposes.
