Summary
Authorizes the nonprofit use of copyrighted works. Limits the exclusive rights of an owner of a copyright to for-profit uses. Extends the authorization for the nonprofit use of copyrighted works beyond face to face teaching activities and beyond services at religious assemblies. Permits the nonprofit performance of a nondramatic literary or musical work in a transmission to the public.
