Summary

Freeze Private Contractors in Iraq Act - Prohibits the Department of State, Department of Defense (DOD), or United States Agency for International Development (USAID) from entering into a contract, subcontract, or task order awarded or issued by a federal agency that includes security functions (covered contract) if the award of the contract would result in an increase in the number of personnel performing security functions with respect to Operation Iraqi Freedom under covered contracts with that agency greater than the number of personnel performing such functions under such contracts with that agency on September 1, 2007.
