Summary
Medicare Paramedic Intercept Service Equity Act of 2002 - Amends the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 to permit Medicare (title XVIII of the Social Security Act) payment for advanced life support (ALS) services provided by a paramedic intercept service provider in non-rural as well as rural areas if the specified conditions under such Act are met. Provides that payments attributable to this Act shall not be taken into account in determining an aggregate amount of payments for purposes of computing the fee schedule for ambulance services.
