Summary

Permits the United States Postal Service to furnish to the Secretary of Commerce any list of addresses requested by the Secretary to conduct any census or survey. Directs the Secretary to report to Congress on: (1) the purpose for which any such list was used; (2) other sources of addresses acquired by the Bureau of the Census and the advantages and disadvantages of acquiring and using lists from such sources as compared to the lists furnished by the Postal Service; and (3) measures taken to assure the confidentiality of any list furnished by the Postal Service. Encourages the Secretary to acquire address lists from sources other than the Postal Service. Directs the Secretary to report to the President and Congress on the operation of this Act.
