Summary
Science Teacher Scholarships for Scientists and Engineers Act - Authorizes the Director of the National Science Foundation (NSF) to make awards to institutions of higher education to provide one-year scholarships to assist graduates of baccalaureate degree programs in science, mathematics, or engineering, or individuals pursuing degrees in those fields, to fulfill the academic requirements necessary to become certified as science teachers. Requires such awards to be made through competitive, merit-based procedures. Requires each scholarship recipient to work as an elementary or secondary school science teacher for a minimum of two years following such certification or to repay the $7,500 scholarship amount to the NSF.
