Summary
Fort Peck Indian Tribes-Montana Compact Act of 1991 - Ratifies the Fort Peck Indian Tribes-Montana Compact that relates to the reserved water rights of the Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Reservation in Montana. Authorizes the Tribe to enter into a joint venture, service contract, lease, exchange, agreement, or to modify such agreement to authorize: (1) the delivery, use, or transfer of any part of the water rights confirmed in the Tribes by the Compact, for a maximum 50-year term inclusive of all renewal periods; or (2) the diversion or use of water within or outside the Reservation. Directs the Secretary to approve or disapprove of such water agreement or its modification by a specified period.
