Summary
Natural Gas Act Amendments - Expands the jurisdiction of the Federal Power Commission under the Natural Gas Act to include the transportation and sale of natural gas having a substantial effect on commerce (formerly only the actual transportation an sale of natural gas in interstate or foreign commerce). Stipulates that the provisions of this Act shall not apply to: (1) production facilities or the construction of such facilities, or to the gathering of natural gas; or (2) the local distribution of natural gas and the facilities used for such distribution. (Amends 15 U.S.C. 717)
