Summary

Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to direct the planning and construction of a municipal, rural, and industrial water treatment and distribution system in Haakon, Jackson, Jones, Lyman, Mellette, Pennington, and Stanley Counties, South Dakota, as described in engineering reports for the West River Rural Water System and the Lyman-Jones Rural Water System. Authorizes the Secretary to direct planning and construction of a municipal, rural, and industrial water treatment and distribution system for the Oglala Sioux Tribe to meet the economic, public health, and environmental needs of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Refers to such system as the Oglala Sioux Rural Water System. Authorizes appropriations.
