Summary

Salt Lake City Watershed Improvement Act of 1989 - Conveys certain Federal lands within the State of Utah to the Salt Lake City Corporation in exchange for the conveyance of certain city lands to the Secretary of Agriculture. Provides that the lands acquired by the United States shall be added to, and administered as part of, the National Forest System. Provides for the protection of valid existing rights appurtenant to lands exchanged under this Act. Requires the city to recognize the designation of the National Historic Trail and the Mormon Pioneer Trail over lands acquired by it and to manage such lands accordingly.
