Summary
Calls for the Secretary of State to: (1) take actions, consistent with the Cambodian Genocide Justice Act, that lead to the prosecution of Pol Pot (former leader of the Khmer Rouge) for crimes against humanity; and (2) take steps to create an international tribunal for Pol Pot's prosecution if such a tribunal has not been established by an international organization by January 30, 1998. Calls upon the international community, through the United Nations Security Council and other appropriate international governmental bodies, to convene an international tribunal for the adjudication of Pol Pot.
