Summary

Establishes a joint congressional committee to be known as the Joint Committee on Information and Intelligence to be composed of seven Members of the Senate appointed by the President of the Senate, and seven Members of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Directs the joint committee to make continuing studies of: (1) the activities of each information and intelligence agency of the United States; (2) the relationships between information and intelligence agencies of the United States and United States-based corporations and the effect of such relationships on United States foreign policy and intelligence operations abroad; (3) the problems relating to information and intelligence programs; and (4) the problems relating to the gathering of information and intelligence affecting the national security, and its coordination and utilization by the various departments, agencies, and instrumentalities of the United States. Requires each information and intelligence agency of the United States to give to the joint committee such information regarding its activities as the committee may require. Requires the joint committee to make an annual report to both Houses of Congress and to make such additional reports as it deems necessary in carrying out its duties.
