Summary

Commends the African Union (AU) for committing to enhanced troop deployments, in coordination with the governments of Uganda, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Republic of South Sudan, in order to strengthen efforts to arrest Joseph Kony and senior commanders of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). Supports efforts by: (1) U.S. Armed Forces advisors; and (2) the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense (DOD), and other U.S. government representatives to strengthen the operational capabilities of AU and other regional military forces deployed to protect civilians and neutralize LRA leadership.
