Summary
Eelnõu näeb ette kehtestada lesepensioni määramise võimalus isikule, kes on vanaduspensionieas ning kelle abikaasa, kellega on isik abielus olnud vähemalt 10 aastat, on vanaduspensioni ajaks surnud. Lesepension määratakse eluks ajaks ning võrdub surnud abikaasale arvutatud riikliku pensioniga. Lesepensionit ei määrata, kui see on isiku enda riiklikust pensionist väiksem. Lesepensioni indekseeritakse ja tõstetakse erakorraliselt samadel alustel nagu vanaduspensioni. Lesepensioni taotlemise korra ja esitatavate dokumentide loetelu kehtestab valdkonna eest vastutav minister määrusega.
