The Act on Amendments to the Estonian National Broadcasting Act

Summary

The aim of the draft law to amend the Estonian National Broadcasting Act is the need for the Estonian National Broadcasting Company not to ignore the principle of political balance by favoring one political party or political movement over another in the production and transmission of its broadcasts and programs. The draft also changes the performance of internal control in order to ensure compliance with the requirements arising from the law. In addition to the aforementioned, the Estonian National Broadcasting Act will also be harmonized With the Commercial Code, and in the part that concerns the rights, obligations and responsibilities of members of the supervisory board and members of the management board.
