Summary
Eelnõu näeb ette hüvitada töötajale esimesed kaheksa haiguspäeva riigi ja tööandjate koostöös selliselt, et 40 protsenti haigestunud inimese keskmisest töötasust hüvitab Haigekassa ja ülejäänud 40 protsenti tööandja. Sealt edasi üheksandast päevast kannab kulud sarnaselt kehtiva regulatsiooniga Haigekassa. Seletuskirjas põhjendatakse, et haiguspäevade hüvitamine esimesed kaheksa päeva aitab tagada, et isik ei lähe tööle, kui ta on haigestunud või nakkusega kokku puutunud, vaid viibib kodus.
