Summary

The bill makes additions and clarifications to the law, which are necessary, in particular, for better organization of the grants and fishery economic state aid of producer organizations in the fishing and aquaculture sector and the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (hereafter EMFF). The changes have been made due to the new legislation issued by the European Commission, which did not exist at the time of the adoption of the Act on the Organization of the Fisheries Market, as well as questions raised in practice solving. The bill specifies the conditions for the recognition of producer organizations by introducing a provision in the law according to which producer organizations are recognized for economically important species. The decision to grant support for production and distribution plans (one of EMKF's grants) falls within the competence of the Agricultural Registers and Information Board (hereinafter PRIA). Issues related to the implementation of the local development strategy are clarified.
