Summary
Eelnõuga leevendatakse ettevõtete kohustusi seoses pakendiregistrisse esitatavate andmete audiitorkontrolliga, mille tegemisest vabastatakse pakendiettevõtjad, kes lasevad turule vähem kui viis tonni pakendeid aastas. Statistika kohaselt on selliseid väikeettevõtteid Eestis ligikaudu 2000, nende ettevõtete osatähtsus turule lastud pakendikogusest Eestis on alla 2 protsendi. Eelnõuga leevendatakse ka osade pakendiettevõtjate ja taaskasutusorganisatsioonide pakendikoguste auditeerimise põhjalikkust. Tulevikus piisab üldjuhul kauba alusdokumentide kontrollist. Üksnes juhul kui vandeaudiitoril on põhjust uskuda olulistesse väärkajastustesse pakendiarvestuses, viiakse vajadusel läbi täiendav auditeerimine.
