Summary

The bill enhances measures that ensure more effective use of telephone, mobile phone and short number numbering. The bill provides for solving the situation where the numbering is not introduced or is used inefficiently, including, for example, for organizing fraud schemes for special rate calls. The bill changes the log files collected about actions performed by a surveillance or security agency's central monitoring device storage time from 5 years to 10 years. Since the log file collected as evidence during surveillance activities with the permission of the court cannot be destroyed before the expiration date of possible legal disputes has passed, the retention period for log files is extended, as they may be of importance as evidence in court proceedings.
