Summary
Eelnõuga pikendatakse järgmise aasta lõpuni kuni kuue tegevväelase kasutamise tähtaega ÜRO juhitaval rahutagamismissioonil UNTSO (United Nations Truce Supervision Organization) Liibanonis, Iisraelis, Egiptuses ja Süürias. Eesti mehitab nii staabiohvitseride kui vanemstaabiohvitseride ametikohti. UNTSO ülesanne on jälgida rahukokkulepetest ja relvastuskokkulepetest kinnipidamist Lähis-Idas ning vältida konfliktide eskaleerumist. Eesti sõjalised vaatlejad osalevad ÜRO sõjalise vaatlusmissiooni koosseisus alates 1997. aastast
