Summary
Ukraina laenu intressikulude katmise otsusega võtab Eesti kohustuse tasuda aastatel 2024-2027 Euroopa Liidu eelarvesse Euroopa Liidu poolt Ukrainale antud laenu intressimaksed maksimaalselt 5 890 628 euro ulatuses. ELi vastava määrusega loodi rahastamisvahend Ukraina toetamiseks 2023. aastal (MFA+). Selleks, et muuta laenud Ukraina jaoks soodsamaks, otsustasid ELi liikmesriigid laenude intressikulude katmise kuni aastani 2027, tasudes need sihtotstarbelise tuluna ELi eelarvesse. Selleks sõlmitakse iga liikmesriigiga eraldi leping, kus liikmesriigid osalevad vastavalt nende osakaalule ELi kogurahvatulus. Intressimaksete tasumine liikmesriikide poolt võimaldab Ukrainal keerulisel ajal vähendada koormust riigieelarvele andes võimaluse riigi majandust toetada.
