Summary
Strateegiaga luuakse raamistik, mis koondab riigisiseselt kokku lepitud ning rahvusvahelisi kohustusi arvestavad olulisemad Eesti strateegilised sihid ja tegevussuunad; seob pikaajalise strateegia rahastamisega, st arvestab riigi rahanduse väljavaadetega ja võimalustega ning on aluseks eelarveliste otsuste tegemisel, sh struktuurivahendite planeerimiseks ja kasutamiseks; annab aluse Eesti seisukohtade kujundamiseks rahvusvahelistes koordinatsiooniprotsessides (sh Euroopa Liidu poliitika planeerimises osalemise tasemel). Strateegiaga luuakse tingimused riigi strateegilise ja tulemusjuhtimise paremaks korraldamiseks, sh strateegiadokumentide arvu vähendamiseks ning ÜRO säästva arengu eesmärkide keskseks integreerimiseks riigi arengudokumentidesse.
