Summary

With the decision, the Riigikogu approves the decision of the Council of the EU (Council) on the system of own resources. It provides for the financing of the EU restart plan through a Community loan, which will be repaid by all Member States through contributions to the EU budget from 2027 until the end of 2058 at the latest, and as a new own resource, an own resource based on unrecycled plastic packaging waste will be introduced to finance the EU budget.
