Summary
Eelnõuga tehakse valitsusele kohustuseks likvideerida ministeeriumide ja teiste valitsusasutuste kodulehtede venekeelsed versioonid. Eestis on kodulehtede venekeelsed versioonid Vabariigi Valitsusel, kõigil üheteistkümnel ministeeriumil ja rohkem kui pooltel teistel valitsusasutustel. Seletuskirjas märgitakse, et riigikeele mittevaldamine tähendab ka Eesti avalikust teaberuumist eemalolekut. Seetõttu ei muutu ka muukeelse elanikkonna poliitilised hoiakud. Seega tuleb riigikeele oskuse parandamiseks ette võtta senisest tõhusamaid meetmeid: Eesti avalik ruum tuleb muuta eestikeelseks. Ilma selleta ei parane riigikeele oskus ja Eesti ühiskond ei muutu eestikeelseks.
