Summary

Valitsusele tehakse ettepanek töötada välja muudatused „Eesti metsanduse arengukava aastani 2020“ tekstis ja teistes Eesti metsandust reguleerivates õigusaktides eesmärgiga piirata raiemaht Eestis 10 miljoni tihumeetriga aastas. Seejuures tuleb reguleeriva raiemahuna esimeses järjekorras ette näha riigimetsas kasvav mets. Samuti soovitakse tagada metsade säästva majandamise põhimõtte järgimine, mille alusel ei tohi metsa raiuda rohkem, kui on selle juurdekasv arvestatuna puuliikide kaupa.
