Summary
Eelnõu võimaldab panustada kuni 75 kaitseväelasega Prantsusmaa juhitud sõjalisse operatsiooni sihtüksuses Takuba Malis ja Nigeris. Osalemine operatsioonil selle erioperatsioonide sihtüksuses Takuba aitab süvendada strateegilist suhet Eesti ja Prantsusmaa vahel, mis baseerub lisaks jagatud väärtusruumile ka ühisel arusaamal julgeolekukeskkonnast ning seda mõjutavatest ohtudest. Prantsusmaa osaleb aktiivselt NATO heidutushoiaku tugevdamisel Läänemere piirkonnas, panustades oma liitlasüksuste kohalviibimisega Balti riikide julgeolekusse. Prantsusmaa valitsusliikmed ja kõrged sõjaväelased on Eesti panust operatsiooni hinnanud väga kõrgelt ning tunnustanud operatsiooni raames tehtud Eesti kaitseväelaste tööd. Lisaks sellele aitab osalemine operatsioonil ja selle erioperatsioonide sihtüksuses Takuba tagada stabiilsuse ja julgeolekuolukorra parandamist Malis ja Nigeris. Mali kaitseväelaste väljaõpetamisel toetab Eesti Mali armee võimete suurendamist, et Mali suudaks ise kindlustada oma julgeolekut, k.a. võidelda tõhusamalt relvastatud mässuliste ja terroristlike rühmituste vastu piirkonnas.
