Summary
Vabariigi Valitsus teeb ettepaneku võimaldada kasutada kuni 100 kaitseväelast Põhja-Atlandi Lepingu Organisatsiooni (NATO) või selle liikmesriigi, Euroopa Liidu (EL) või Ühinenud Rahvaste Organisatsiooni (ÜRO) juhitaval rahvusvahelisel sõjalisel operatsioonil, välja arvatud kollektiivse enesekaitse operatsioonil, sellesse esmakordsel panustamisel. Eesti täpne panus ja selle suurus oleneb konkreetse operatsiooni vajadustest ning selle otsustab valitsus Riigikogu otsuse piires. Otsus tagab Eesti võimekuse kiiresti ja paindlikult lähetada Kaitseväe üksusi kriisi- või konfliktipiirkonda vastavalt vajadusele. Sarnaselt teistele riikidele on Eesti valmis panustama rahvusvahelise stabiilsuse tagamisse ja kaitsta niiviisi ka Eesti julgeolekuhuve.
