Summary
Eelnõu näeb ette osaleda jätkuvalt kuni 46 kaitseväelasega NATO juhitaval väljaõppe- ja nõustamismissioonil Afganistanis. Missiooni tegevus on suunatud Afganistani julgeolekuküsimustega seotud ministeeriumitele ja julgeolekujõududele, keskendudes sõjaväe ja politsei kõrgemale juhtimistasemele. Eesti osales operatsioonil ISAF Afganistanis 11 aastat (2003-2014), RSM-il alates 2015. aastast ning plaanib jätkata liitlaskohustuste täimist NATO juhitud väljaõppe- ja nõustamismissioonil senises mahus. Panustades NATO suurimasse käimasolevasse sõjalisse operatsiooni aitab Eesti kaasa rahvusvahelise julgeoleku olukorra parandamisse.
