Summary
Mrs Martine Wonner questions the Minister of Labor on the taking into account of seniority acquired abroad in the event of a succession of apprenticeship contracts abroad and in France. Indeed, to his great surprise, seniority is not taken into account in the calculation of salary for a second apprenticeship contract in France when the first was carried out abroad. The case was not foreseen by the legislator while article 30 of the equality and citizenship law of January 2017 and article L. 6211-5 of the labor code, extend the possibility for an apprentice to carry out part of his training in a company in another State, without geographical restriction. As she knows, every year, hundreds of young people leave Alsace (where the MP is elected) in order to sign a first apprenticeship contract in Germany and it would seem relevant to validate this extremely enriching experience.
