Summary

Mr. Yannick Haury draws the attention of the Minister, to the Minister of State, Minister of Ecological and Inclusive Transition, responsible for transport, to the maintenance of road infrastructure in France. Indeed, the collapse of the Genoa viaduct is a real catastrophe which raises the question of the state and maintenance of our national network. The Government did not wait for this tragedy to initiate a complete review of its infrastructure policy with one priority: the maintenance of existing networks. Credits allocated to the maintenance of national roads have already increased by more than 100 million euros per year from 2018. The audit commissioned on the state of the road network indicates that 30% of bridges not licensed to private companies require repair and that 7% of them ultimately present a risk of collapse. Regular maintenance of buildings with for example, the establishment of a maintenance logbook for each bridge and increased vigilance on structures created in the 1950s and 1960s seem to be recommended by experts. Also, he wishes to know the Government's intentions in this area and in particular the main directions which will be decided in the soon-to-come programming law on infrastructure.
