Summary
Mr. Martial Saddier draws the attention of the Secretary of State, attached to the Prime Minister, responsible for disabled people, to the difficulties encountered by people with 80% disabilities in benefiting from household services. Indeed, the latter, if they receive the allowance for disabled adults (AAH) at the full rate as well as the increase for independent living (MVA), i.e. aid of 915.66 euros per month, are not eligible for household services due to exceeding the simple allowance of 803.20 euros. However, the amount of the AAH does not allow the employment of a domestic helper at the rates applied by home help associations, which is 22 euros per hour, and the disability compensation benefit does not cover this type of expense. The result is that 214,000 disabled people are deprived of this essential assistance. Also, he would like to know what measures the Government is considering so that people with 80% disabilities can benefit from household services.
