Summary

Domestic wind turbines do not have specific public support, unlike industrial wind turbines which can either benefit from the tariff decree of May 6, 2017, or from one of the calls for tenders relating to the construction and operation of installations for producing electricity from the mechanical energy of the wind located on land, the specifications of which are available on the website of the regulatory commission of energy (CRE). In addition, since 2016, domestic wind turbines are no longer eligible for any tax credit and the VAT assigned is no longer at the very reduced rate of 5.5% but at the rate of 10%. Thus, if the regulations are less restrictive for domestic wind turbines due to their lower risks, no public support exists to promote their installation.
