Summary

The Public Action 2022 program launched by the Prime Minister on October 13, 2017 aims to accelerate the transformation of public action in order to improve the quality of public services, while controlling public spending by optimizing the means allocated to the implementation of public policies, in particular aid to businesses. To this end, the Public Action 2022 committee engaged in an evaluation of the effectiveness of tax measures that benefit businesses. The Government has, however, decided that, as part of this review, VAT rates, like the reduced rates applicable to the construction and catering sectors, must remain stable in order to ensure legal certainty and growth for operators.
