Summary

Mr. Sylvain Maillard draws the attention of the Minister of Culture to the “La Cité du Théâtre” project which is due to see the light of day in 2022. The MP would like to express his concerns regarding the future of the National Superior Conservatory of Dramatic Art (CNSAD). Indeed, in his capacity as an elected representative of the 9th arrondissement and like all Parisians, he is very attached to this conservatory which has forged for more than two centuries a part of French identity. Sarah Bernard, Juliette Binoche, Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Nicole Garcia, Jean-Paul Belmondo, since 1806, many actors, musicians and directors have succeeded one another within these walls, revealing so many talents, which have largely contributed to the influence of French culture throughout the world. The decision of his ministry to sell a large part of the building, apart from the listed theater itself, would cause a loss of exceptional architectural heritage. The CNSAD is a whole which seems to have been underestimated in the drafting of this project. He would like to know the possible prospects for development of this matter.
