Summary

Mr. Éric Bothorel draws the attention of the Minister of State, Minister of Ecological and Inclusive Transition, to the continuing pressures on fishery ecosystems, which have made the management of species very delicate over time, particularly in the Brittany region. This management led, from the 1980s, to repopulation policies which structurally modified the populations with the parallel introduction of exogenous species for targeted fisheries. We can thus cite a whole set of management issues, such as water quality, the modification of hydrological regimes with the artificialization of soils and climate change and, on the other hand, parasitic diseases, harvesting at all stages of the life cycle as well as poaching. The challenge now is to achieve sustainable recreational fishing in conserving wild species with their complex fisheries assemblages, combining migratory and sedentary populations within the anthropogenic ecosystems of the valley floors, because these allow, in fact, diversified traditional fishing which generates significant leisure and tourist activity. He therefore wishes to know how the Government intends to develop practice on this point while preserving existing ecosystems. while promoting a shared ecology supported by all uses.
