Summary

Mr. Patrick Hetzel alerts the Minister of Justice, Minister of Justice, about the financing of the national telephone reception service for children in danger. Indeed, the Government intends to reduce subsidies for the “childhood in danger public interest group” and in particular the national telephone reception service for children in danger, more commonly known as 119-Allô childhood in danger. In 2018, the 119-Allô childhood in danger has already experienced a 7% budget reduction imposed by the Government, against the advice of departmental councils and associations working for child protection. In 2019, the announced deficit will be at least 450,000 euros, which clearly endangers child protection missions. And yet SNATED-119 is recognized by all those involved in child protection. At 119, more than 1,000 calls were received per day, more than 375,000 children helped over 28 years, 1 call to a first emergency service is made every 2 days for situations of serious or imminent danger to a child. In the interest of all, child protection must not suffer from budget cuts. To maintain the quality of the work of all professionals and continue to ensure the protection of child victims, the GIPED needs stable resources. This subsidy reduction would occur for the third consecutive year. The State should, at a minimum, commit to maintaining the budget of the GIP Enfance en danger at a level which allows it to ensure its sustainability. He therefore wishes to know what the Government actually intends to do to effectively and truly play its part in protecting children in danger.
