Summary
Ms. Corinne Vignon draws the attention of the Prime Minister to the creation of an interministerial delegation for animal welfare. Since the start of the 2017-2022 five-year term, actions in favor of animal welfare have been carried out but according to a 2018 IFOP survey, 7 out of 10 French people consider that animals are poorly defended by politicians today. It is therefore necessary for the Government to take up this fight, shared by a large number of citizens. To do this, the creation of an interministerial delegation would send a strong signal to all those French people concerned about the animal condition. The MP recalls that there is a lack, among other things, of quantified data on the number of abandoned domestic animals, a worrying subject for which the government must take strong action against irresponsible people who abandon their animals. A An interministerial delegation could therefore address this issue and be a source of proposals, in consultation with elected officials, associations and citizens, in order to produce a clear roadmap on the evolution of animal welfare. Also, she would like to have his opinion on this proposal.
