Mr. Max Mathiasin draws the attention of the Minister of Agriculture and Food to CIOM credits within POSEI. Agriculture in the DOM is governed by the POSEI (Program of options specific to remoteness and insularity) which aims to develop the production of meat, fruit and vegetables in these territories which are still too dependent on imports. These credits are additional aid for production: the more we produce, the more we are helped, which is a virtuous process. Thirdly, the necessary increase in power of 50 million euros, by 2022, of these diversification credits, added to the ¤40, to reach a total of 90 million euros per year at the end of the five-year term. The sectors' concerns are well-founded because this sector represents several tens of thousands of agricultural jobs and makes it possible to reduce the territories' dependence on imports.
