Summary
Ms. Danielle Brulebois draws the attention of the Minister of the Economy and Finance to the remaining costs of elderly people residing in EHPADs and their families. The tax reduction is equal to 25% of the sums spent in the context of accommodation in an EHPAD. This amount is capped at 10,000 euros per year and per person accommodated, i.e. a reduction on income tax of 2,500 euros, which sometimes represents the amount of VAT paid in the Private for-profit EHPAD. Furthermore, residents in EHPADs will not benefit, for the most part, from the housing tax reduction which was voted as part of the social security financing law for 2018. The remainder to be paid is therefore particularly substantial. The cost on average amounts to 2,000 euros on average despite the aid available. She would therefore like to know the concrete measures planned by the Government to reduce this out-of-pocket burden for elderly people in EHPADs and their families.
