Summary
Mrs. Cécile Untermaier draws the attention of the Minister of Solidarity and Health to the suffering suffered by electrosensitive people and to the public health problem posed by emerging diseases linked to electromagnetic fields. Electrohypersensitivity (EHS) is characterized by a set of disabling symptoms, but this syndrome is however poorly understood. It is not easy to obtain statistics on the number of people suffering from EHS syndrome as the process of recognizing this disease is complex. Indeed, the physiological mechanisms that could explain electrohypersensitivity are not known and there is no solid experimental evidence to establish a link between the symptoms found and the exposure of people to electromagnetic fields. However, these people suffer and feel misunderstood, isolated and helpless in the face of this disease. She would therefore like to know the measures that the Government intends to put in place to encourage and accelerate research work devoted to electrosensitivity.
