Summary
Mr. Paul Christophe questions the Minister of Solidarity and Health on the recognition of endometriosis as a long-term condition (ALD). Endometriosis is a chronic disease that affects one in ten women of childbearing age, causing pain and risk of infertility. This disease is often diagnosed late, causing severe complications. Endometriosis is currently not recognized as a condition of long-term defined by article L. 324-1 of the social security code, allowing 100% coverage by health insurance. Excluded from the ALD30 list, patients must make a request for ALD off the list from their attending physician. Off-list ALD is then granted, or not, by social security. Care is therefore disparate between patients. This lack of recognition of suffering constitutes an additional difficulty for women affected by endometriosis. Consequently, he would like to know if it plans to recognize endometriosis as a long-term condition to thus allow a national organization of care.
