Summary
Mrs. Cécile Untermaier draws the attention of the Minister of Solidarity and Health to the registration in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP) of a professional certification in hypnotherapy. Indeed, over the past ten years, hypnotherapy has become increasingly popular among the French. In this context, it appears urgent to clarify the framework for practicing the profession in order to best protect the French consumers. Currently, anyone who is untrained or poorly trained can qualify to practice as a hypnotherapist. The registration in the RNCP of a professional certification in hypnotherapy is intended to promote the fight against pseudo training which is ineffective and can lead to sectarian excesses, due to the lack of a reference framework within the reach of the public. Recognition of a base of knowledge and skills can also enable the creation of qualified jobs. Consequently, she would like to know what arrangements the Government would consider taking with a view to professional certification in hypnotherapy.
