Summary
Mr. Martial Saddier draws the attention of the Secretary of State to the Prime Minister, responsible for disabled people, to the recruitment difficulties currently encountered by managers of medico-social establishments. Employing more than 1,500 people in Haute-Savoie, managers of medico-social establishments fear that these recruitment difficulties will weaken the daily support of people disabled. They note, in fact, a significant drop in the attractiveness of their sector of activity which results, according to them, from several factors: low salaries, competition for employment from Switzerland, the insufficient valorization of social professions in current society. The consequences of these difficulties are already being felt with unfilled positions, an increase in wage garnishments, employees who work several jobs with disregard for their health and safety at work, a turnover of replacements increasing the risks for permanent employees and for users. Faced with the concerns of managers of medico-social establishments, he therefore wishes to know the Government's position on this issue and the measures it is considering to make this sector of activity more attractive.
