Summary

Mr. Guillaume Chiche draws the attention of the Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation to initial training in pedicure and podiatry. The latter was reformed in July 2012, involving the participation of university teachers in its implementation. The agreements with the universities have been signed and the third year students are, each year, presented to the state diploma jury, the majority of them having followed their training in an institute having signed an agreement with the university. Since 2012, chiropodists-podiatrists are still awaiting the publication of the decree granting them the degree of license, as has been the case for other paramedical training (medical electroradiology manipulator). Their renewed requests to the correspondents of the ministries concerned remained without following. Thus, in the current state of the regulatory texts, a young chiropodist-podiatrist graduate cannot obtain the degree of license. The annex to the amended decree of September 23, 2010 only includes the nursing diploma (no agreement had yet been signed) and that of occupational therapist (the majority of agreements had not yet been signed either). In 2014, they were confronted with the fact that all training institutes did not have further engaged their partnership with the university. To date, several institutes have signed their agreement - more than 5 - all university courses have been set up, including two institutes integrated into a university hospital center. Furthermore, students are aware of this injustice and consider themselves harmed by the difference in treatment between paramedical sectors. Also, he would like to know if there are plans to publication of the decree awarding the degree of license to chiropodists-podiatrists which would firstly make it possible to respond to the obvious lack of equity between the paramedical sectors and secondly to promote this training.
