This solution would have the merit to be in line with the health system transformation plan announced by the President of the Republic and the latest recommendations from the Court of Auditors. In its latest report on the application of social security financing laws, the Court clearly called for a modification of the distribution of skills between the different actors in the visual sector and, more specifically, for the granting of authorization for orthoptists to carry out visual assessments and simple consultations and to prescribe optical equipment.
