Summary

The Government is very sensitive to the situation of populations receiving the lowest levels of pensions, particularly farmers. Work is also underway to overhaul the overall architecture of our pension system, with a view to making it fairer and more understandable for policyholders. The reflections undertaken and the consultation with the social partners will make it possible to examine the most suitable modalities, in the future universal pension system. In this context, any new measure relating to agricultural pensions is a subject which is intended to be part of the overall project of this reform. At the end of the work carried out by the High Commissioner for Pension Reform, a bill will be tabled and debated in Parliament.
