Summary
Ms. Annie Genevard questions the Secretary of State, to the Minister of Action and Public Accounts, about the new methods of collecting revenues linked to sales of wood in community forests. The national federation of forest municipalities has decided to vote against the 2019 budget proposal presented to the ONF board of directors. This budget provides for the collection by the ONF of wood revenues from municipalities before payment to them, within a period of up to three months, thereby affecting the treasury of the municipalities and contrary to their free administration. The introduction of this measure is widely criticized by the mayors of rural communities. The national federation of forest municipalities also denounces the non-compliance with the announced reduction in the employment ceiling which is contrary to the commitment of the signatories of the State-National Federation of Forestry Municipalities-ONF objectives and performance contract for 2016-2020, which provided that “from 2016, the erosion of staff numbers will end after more than 15 years of significant and continuous decline”. Also, she would very much like to know her position on this very important issue.
