Summary
Mrs. Alexandra Valetta Ardisson draws the attention of the Minister of Solidarity and Health to the difficulties encountered by people suffering from Tarlov's disease. This pathology has considerable consequences on the daily and professional lives of patients. Indeed, Tarlov cysts cause significant neurological disorder as well as chronic, severe and disabling pain. They significantly reduce the motor skills of patients; this can even progress to total motor incapacity. Certain organs may also be affected. The MP was alerted by the French Tarlov Cyst Disease Association to the non-recognition of this pathology as rare and orphan as a long-term condition, according to article D. 322-1 3 of the social security code. The latter is only considered as a off-list disease. As a result, patients do not have access to appropriate care or full coverage of their treatment costs. She therefore questions him about the measures envisaged by the Government to respond to this problem.
